If you could see the future

and see that your child is going to die prematurely due to cancer.. And that future cannot be changed unless you chose not to have a baby, what will you do?

I just won't have a kid. I'm not going to bring a child into this world if I know it's going to suffer. That's selfish.

and what if you know that the child is going to experience 12,18,24 years of beauty, wonder, joy and love before they die?
would you deny them those experiences because you know that they will suffer in the end?

It's not worth it to me. I won't put anyone through that much pain and fear if I can help it. So many people close to me have died from cancer and lost themselves in the process. No.

I recently lost my mother to cancer after a very long fight..
I can't help but remember all of the love she gave us and to the people around her.
the inspiration and joy..
I've seen children and young people inspire those feelings.
I've seen thier contributions to the world..

I respect your opinion but I wonder if any of those remarkable young people would have chosen to forego all that they felt and experienced in their short lives.. if it meant they didn't have to suffer at the end....
I think many would choose the darkness with the light..

just my opinion... respectfully..
