Do you have friends you chat with that you have no idea what they look like?

So many profiles with avatars or Avis that give no indication of appearance.

Many "about me" pages empty.

So many trolls, how do you know if male or female
or do you even care?
I like it this way. I'll know if it's a troll when I talk to the person. I give out part of my info if I feel the person is alright or when I talk and get to know them.
@Pfuzylogic: Depending on how much we share. I'm not here for dating or anything, so I don't really care.

@TheFlash: I normally give my first name but I have had some ask phone # and email.
I just give my age and nickname. Profession as well. Rest only if I feel like

Not interested in dating so don't care in the least bit.
Pfuzylogic · M
I get concerned about age.

For the most part I don't care. You can tell about them by their responses and posts. Some are genuine while some are not; some will act a certain way then turn and be completely different.

If you don't know; I find it more difficult to spend more time.

okay

I figure it doesn't matter, as I am not giving out personal info or other points of contact until I know someone awhile. By that time if they haven't shared a photo I know it's time to move on unless a really good reason is given.

Hmm. I have a male friend (not here another site) whom I have spoken to for over two years through occ emails. I have no idea what he looks like. I assume he is concerned about his appearance. I can respect that, but I suppose at some point a friendship is more solidified by sharing more of yourself, including visual images. I will continue a friendship with him, but just the surface type he seems to want.

@ravenwind43: you do realize that a person can lose their job,if what they say online can be traced to them. having a face shown is just not a good idea.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
One. I doubt saying "I watched a movie and ate popcorn" is grounds for firing.
Two. Simply showing your face online is not inherently dangerous. What your say or do online is different. Use common sense.

There was this empty profile who pms just to argue about what I posts lol weirdo
Pfuzylogic · M
That is very troll like behavior.
Sorry you had to suffer through that silliness!
Sepia · 36-40, F
@Pfuzylogic: no I don't suffer I'm notified about how strange are some
Pfuzylogic · M
@jadenightbird: There are so many. A Troll semitrailer would not be enough to take them away! 😂😂😂
Sepia · 36-40, F
Empty profile gets the least response :/ :/ sorry empty pro pips!
Pfuzylogic · M
I don't blame you. Sometimes it feels like they are sponges that suck your life out.
SW-User
nope.. i chat online with people I know in real life.
Pfuzylogic · M
That makes it very certain for identity!
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
I have no issue sharing my face photo and even showing multiple ones to show that it is actually MY face lol. Anything else asked immediately is rude.
