Do other countries have "American" restaurants? I don't mean like McDonald's or ACTUAL American chains operating overseas, I mean a local restaurant somewhere in Indonesia or Kazakhstan or somewhere serving "American" cuisine.

There's really no such thing as "American Cuisine" the only thing I can think of that qualifies as American is Meat loaf/ burgers-hotdogs & down south bbq

It was Southern food.
Lolco · 36-40, M
@Serendipitous: yeah southern food will definitely do it!

I don't like Taco Bell.
As far as Chinese food goes I think they might feel the same way as a rule of thumb my family and I only order Chinese food from places where they have high quantity of Asian clientele, i figured that's how I know I'm getting as close to authentic without being in China or Thailand - depending on what I want to eat.

Makes total sense actually!!! I agree it's the only way to know you're getting as close to authentic as possible..

A Mexican told me they never eat in restaurants in Mexico....but he eats Taco Bell for lunch sometimes.
Lolco · 36-40, M
Pretty ironic
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Lolco-: not really, they go to their homes in Mexico to eat their meals, always someone to cook for them, here in the USA they may be working two jobs and don't have time to go home for meals.

Or the British about what everyone else calls "tea"
Lolco · 36-40, M
Really? They have a different tea/ or a real tea...
Fangirlsarah1996 · 26-30, F
Try finding actual tea in America lol

It's just "iced Tea" xD
SW-User
they don't eat there of course

In my experience Chinese people own and run the Chinese restaurants.
Lolco · 36-40, M
I'm talking about the "Hood Chinese spots" .. I actually never seen them eating that food themselves ever
TheStomachSadist · 26-30, M
@Lolco-: What is a "Hood Chinese spot"? Or should I ask a Chinese person?
SW-User
Hood Chinese spots?
TheStomachSadist · 26-30, M
Have you asked any? Or is that what you're doing now?
Lolco · 36-40, M
I'm asking now
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M

Lolco · 36-40, M
