No one to blame but ourselves ? After all it's all about choices, we live with what we chose..

We can't always be the only one to blame. I'm sorry. Sometimes we do everything in the the right way and still end up with shit.

Whatever we are faced with, we always have choices. If we choose wisely, it will be reflected on the outcome. If we choose poorly, we will suffer the consequences. Since thinking is independent, we made those decisions voluntarily. So yes we do live with the results of our choices. However, we can then choose what actions we will take now and in the future to ensure a better result and happier outcome. We don't have to keep blaming ourselves. We can move forward, realize our mistakes, and learn better responses to different situations.

The flaw with this reasoning is that there is a huge disparity in the amount and quality of choices people have... if you are abducted and trapped in someone's basement, you may still have choices but none of them are going to be good.
