How is being Liberal wrong ???????

Referring to one or the other as in some intrinsic way as right or wrong only polarizes the dialogue. When I hear someone refer to it in this way I feel some obligation to say that they should think about why they are using that word in connection with their social beliefs. To my best awareness these are things I understand about the extremes of either side of conservative and liberal beliefs.

Historically,


The [b]original[/b] definition used to be that conservatives were in favor of established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas and held life liberty and [b]pursuit of happiness sacrosanct[/b].

While the [b]original[/b] definition of liberals was favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others.

[i]Wherease now[/i],

Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and the ideas and behavior of others with some attention to a collective societal standard of morality is called [b][i]conservatism[/i][/b].

Yet the favoring of unorthodox extremist dogmas such victim politics, speech censorship, paternalist micromanagement, unchecked growth of government, and claiming itself to be the populist majority is referred to as [b][i]liberalism[/i][/b].

Because we have pesky facts and evidence.

´Cause education.

That´s bad.

I like regulations, I liake the idea of universal health care and free college.

It depends on what you call liberal.
If you talk about classic liberalism, it is bad because it is purely materialistic and individualistic.
If you talk about modern liberalism, it is even worse, apart from the flaws of modern liberalism, we add the delusions of equality and multiculturalism, and the authoritarian political correctness necessary to keep them.

No one way is inherently wrong, except for Libertarianism which is just silly.
