lol. Sure. I dropped out in sophomore year because I really wasn't feeling that life. I just didn't care; I stopped going, slept late watched too much TV, and began smoking a lot of weed... I guess I would call myself a Free Spirit, thou I didn't put much thought into it, so, thank you for asking, and making my brain do things. :3 So, 2 years later, I tried to finish HS to get college credits, and they wouldn't allow it. I would arrive there at random times of the school day, sometimes stoned, or drinking, or on cough syrup, attempting to convince the staff to let me finish high school.. which did not work, for the record, thus this story is born . I got my GED (whatever it is worth) through the military the next year.

My middle school banned backpacks for one year. For real!
It sounds funny to relate in the 21st century, but in my elementary school left-handed children were basically "banned". We were strongly discouraged (often by means of the ruler or offending hand tied to our chairs) from using our left hands to write or reach. It wasn't considered "abuse" and many parents went along with it; the ability to favor one's right hand was "normal", advantageous. Being left-handed was almost viewed in the same way that being dyslexic is now.
@PearlRose: Yes, this was a Catholic school, although I don't remember the nuns ever directly calling it the devil's hand. I might've blocked that out, though. 😇
