What is the most hurtful thing someone could say to you?

Primnproper · 56-60, F
It's been done, my ex husband after 18 yrs saying he never loved me..I can take anything after that..
oldfarmguy · 70-79, M
yeah, the mockery of those vows... That's a huge part of why I'll just remain single. So many have a way of just saying words without meaning. ((hugs))Prim

@oldfarmguy: I know..thank you...hugs..

My heart hurts ); I'm glad things are better for you now, & I hope they are for your mom too.

"You are nothing!" it's even more hurtful because it comes from my dad
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
How do you deal with that? I'm so sorry

@reveurdelabime: He rarely listens to his children, I've tried for so many times and always ended up crying alone in my room

@Alex1610: I honestly can't understand that kind of pain, but if you want to say anything, I'll listen (maybe say something back).

Really? It isn't anything about me. But carrying stories about my kids for no reason except to see me hurt. That's the meanest.

One girl came to my house and said she wanted to talk to me. She was my daughters friend, so I let her in, even though I disliked her, I figured, if she needed advice or help with something, I'd hear her out.

She began by saying "I don't want to turn you against Denni, or make you hate her".

I stopped her right there. I asked her what gave her the idea she had that much power. Where she got the idea that anything she could tell me might make me hate my own kid. She flounced out saying fine if you don't want to know........

I didn't want to know. And now, 22 years later, I still don't know what she wanted to say. And I still love my daughter. She couldn't have said anything that could stop my love. But the idea that she would even try, hurt like hell.
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
Wow, yeah. She assumed that your bond with your child was so frail, that any amount of words could turn you against her. But this also says something about your love for your children.
Serenitree · F
@Winterwanderer: and her relationship with her mother. I found out later that her mother always sided against her. No matter who said what, her mother believed the worst and treated her like trash.
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
I can't imagine that, that doesn't justify her words, but that's so much to have to deal with I bet
Myzery · 41-45, F
Either calling me a liar or telling me that I'm right and I have always been right.
One of many hurtful things said to me: 'If I got you pregnant, I'd kill myself.'
oldfarmguy · 70-79, M
You seem like a normal human. WOW do I dislike that line...
Ynotjenn · F
"Leave me alone"
That ones pretty bad...
MysterySci · 22-25, F
That there's nothing they like about me. NOTHING at all. They're doing me a favor by talking to me, I guess?

Anyway, I feel like they talk to me because they're trying to be nice not because they are excited to do something with me. Its just because they're nice. NOT because there's something in me that they like.
Serenitree · F
I doubt they really feel as you think they do. People just aren't that nice. In the workplace, you might find that people will chat with coworkers for whom they have no liking,,but not in school or as kids. No need to be nice. Avoiding is easy.
VioletShadows · 51-55, F
That I am unkind- or don't care.
Winterwanderer · 26-30, M
Things that aren't true? I feel that.
tynamite · 31-35, M
you're ugly
adshaw · 36-40, M
Has already been said but can't repeat it here.
