I no longer eat beef or pork, but I think a trip to the slaughter house would be a good thing for most. At least some would never eat meat again.
The best visit would be when they take new borns away from their mothers. These babies look terrified. All they want is the warmth and protection of their mother, and to suckle, but all they get is carried off to a shed on their own where they stay until slaughtered for veal and lamb. What kind of humanity kills baby animals like this? It's barbaric, and the poor babies are terrified and bewildered.

Been to a slaughterhouse, and no I would not personally kill a cow. But I do occasionally eat cows (I'd like to be vegan but I enjoy salami.)

I've been to a slaughterhouse. Personally, I think they should be killed differently, but I'm sure they have their reasons.

Their reasons are they don't care. It makes no difference to them that the animals are terrified, and know something bad is happening. And all for the sake of efficiency and money. It's disgusting.
