I just watched the new Burger King Comercial

They were advertising two burgers, two fries and two drinks for $10. I still remember as a kid McDonald's advertising a burger, fries and soda with change back from your dollar. Times have definitely changed.

I remember getting a whole meal (small burger) for 35 cents when I was a kid.

I remember them at a little fast food hamburger place in Topeka, Kansas when I was in grade school...they were the size of McDonald's small burger...when we moved to Oklahoma we were surprised at the serving size of the burgers here, a lot more meat and bigger buns compared to what they sold in Kansas at the regular diners and drive-ins.

We thought they were... but not that good when compared to a drive-in style onion burger served in a paper-lined basket with fries and a toothpick and mint stuck in the burger though...

And people consider that a bargain, now...I had just started working the graveyard shift downtown, and the McDonald's had just started serving breakfast foods, so after work (about 8am) I'd pick up the big breakfast, coffee, orange juice for about $2 and head home. It was a feast.
