Anybody still listen to radio? A specific channel or presenter? Why? What makes it/them worth it ?

Picklebob it's the time for me...A breakfast time programme I can listen to while getting ready and travelling to work. It's got one of the highest audience figures in the UK for that reason alone. And I'm not British but currently working here.

I listen to Test Match Special and all the cricket - plus internet radio.

@Hennypenny they have plenty of rubbish on Today - every time a tory goes on there!

There's a small radio Caroline exhibit in the motor museum in the UK in Bourton-on-the-water

I listen to Gold ,I just love the music they play.
@ pickle bobble-Caroline is all legit these days and only on the web. They occasionally broadcast from the Ross Revenge and there is a Caroline North broadcast from time to time via Manx Radio. Had my personal top 15 broadcast on there the other week.

I listen to the radio from Monday to Saturday at the office. I mostly listen to East Coast Radio, it's my favorite station. They play a wide variety of music compared to other radio stations.

Elvis Duran's morning show. Love the phone taps, the questions, the jokes, the infectious laughter and the music. Just wish there weren't so many commercials.

Rifster we'll be hearing more and more tories on there, including bonking Boris, but other than change the chanel there's nowt one can do.

You can mostly listen online to programmes after transmission, for a long time afterwards. But of course if it's news it's old news by then.
Radio Caroline and Radio Caroline Flashback, LBC, Planet Rock and Gold.Plus TMS and ABC Grandstand from Australia.

Outside of a commercial free jazz station, I don't listen to music on the radio. Same songs over and over again. I do listen to talk radio.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
I listen to 2GB in Sydney a right wing station and they are not afraid to speak whatever is on there mind
Travelbug · 56-60, F
The Today Programme or Radio 4. There's hardly any rubbish on it.

Blewy: Interesting choices!!
Been reading Hans Knotts column/page on Facebook re: radio of the past. Interesting chap!!
What's the deal with Caroline these days ?? Does it still have 'Pirate' status ? Or is it legit ??
Used to like holidaying on the south coast and listening to Caroline when I was a youngster!!
Picklebobble · 56-60, M
Blewy: Top 15 ! Awesome.!!!
Feel kinda sad that Caroline has lost it's 'naughty' pirate image.
But that's modern times I guess!!
Maybe folk got fed up of getting wet !
Leaky old barges they used to use! Lol.

Rifster: all choices are valid !
Although I find it interesting that both yourself AND Hennypenny both chose something so typically English.
Quite deliberately distinctive !!

There are some things I like.
Trouble with life today is that it's often so hectic I'm rarely in the same place at the same time to be able to listen as regularly as I'd like.

Outredgeous:
Now now !
Just because some of you have grown up with other forms of entertainment doesn't mean they are any more or less valid than another!!

LadyBronte:
