Religion should/should not die, because...? [Spirituality & Religion]

I feel it is the extreme religions that is the problem. Religion is man-made philosophies. That's why they don't work. Even the great evangelist, Billy Graham, attests to Christians being called upon by the Lord, to spread the good news of the saving grace of Jesus, so all will know where their salvation comes from.

In religions, you have man creating his own God. That's idolatry.
In religion, you have man trying to earn his salvation by "good works".
While Jesus tells us it is only by grace through faith, that we're saved.
No other religions have a living God, that hears prayers and answers.
In addition, none of the other gods died on the cross for our sins. Jesus did.
In religions, there is rhetoric or rituals that have to be closely adhered to.
Other religions are about man trying to reach up to God.  Christianity is about God reaching down to man.

When you practice "religion", your relationship with God is degraded to a mathematical formula. Do this, then do this, don’t do that, then presto. . . you are right in the eyes of God.  This is totally missing the point. God doesn't want robots. That's why he gave us free will. He wants so much more for you. He wants to have a real, personal relationship with you. He wants to show his love to you.

It is true that the devil “believes” in God. That is, he believes God exists. But this is a far cry from the kind of faith we are called to have. To truly believe in God means to trust Him. In other words, we not only believe He exists, but we actually make that commitment to love and turn away from our sins, and trust Him to save us through Jesus Christ.
Religion isn't the problem. Sin is. It separates us from God.
Whether it dies or doesn't die... I have no preference. Religious ideas and customs seem illogical to me, but there will always be illogical people. Religion is only one of the areas that give rise to irrationality, but destroying it would not end irrationality. Disclaimer: Just because I say something is illogical, doesn't mean I'm necessarily saying that it isn't true. All it means is that evidence doesn't support it, in the slightest. But a lack of evidence isn't evidence of nonexistence. And so I'm fine with having people believe what they want to believe. But because religion will always be illogical and not based on evidence, then I find it very worrisome when people begin to push their religious beliefs into other people's lives, such as voting against same-sex marriage because it was against the Old Testament. This will lead to society moving towards the side that preaches irrationality as a truth, rather than a belief. That is dangerous. But the problem doesn't come from religion, but rather from the human mind. Removing religion from society would do little in making a more rational society. What there needs to be is an education system that thinks less about teaching such specific subjects such as Calculus or Anatomy to a group of students who KNOW they'll never be using it in their lives and replace it with classes that actually teach kids how to see the world in a perspective different from their own, as well as take them outside of the bubble that the majority will probably grow themselves in. We have classes on Math, Reading, Science, History, etc., but no classes on actually learning how to think and rationally come to conclusions to different questions, from K-12. So should religion die or not die? Doesn't matter. We need people to learn more about other's perspectives, rather than just their own. This, to me, seems to be the problem.
First things first. Religion didn't suffer and die for our sins. Salvation is not found in the religions of this world, but in the person of Jesus Christ.
It's the extremists in religion that are the problem, people who quietly go about their faith are fine although the amount of money the Vatican is sitting on, it should turn some over to charity and help the sick and the poor like it's supposed to.
What makes you think it doesn't?

Should die. Religion kills. Spirituality doesnt.
I think people are the main problem. They take something and make whatever they want of it. It is all man made.
Should not die. It would be a form of censorship to kill religion.

religion and faith is for hope, and no one want to be a hopeless..!

any religion that claims to be the only truth and views followers of another religion as imbeciles has to vanish from earth
You realize that reduces atheism to a very small fraction of .01%?

It cannot die, it's part of the human condition. It's not always something spiritual, but everybody worships something.
