To creationists: How do you account for the existence of a number of human species? [Spirituality & Religion]

Like homo sapiens sapiens and homo neanderthalensis?
If humans were created as described in Genesis, why are there distinct genera of human?

As a Christian and Theist, that has a degree in Biology, I can say that the Bible is not to be interpreted literally. My church, the Catholic Church, agrees with me as well. Catholics are not fundamentalists. The Big Bang and Biological evolution are congruent with Catholicism.

Good meeting a practicing Catholic with a working brain... I mean I always knew you were around, but the stupider tend to be louder, due to media and human nature. Wonder if you'd go as far as me in proposing: certainty of your own righteousness and bothering others about your religion is Christ-killing Phariseeism, while humility and helping the rejects of society is living in Christ... whatever your religion or lack thereof???

@Svarog: Congruence involves relationship, while consistency implies exact similarity. Horace is right.
