Canadian politics is pretty boring. But yes as Firespirit says their is a new bill about anti-Islamic talk. Although I hate racism, I think this bill is going to far. We have freedom of speech none of us should be immune to critism.

Like America and Europe we are wrestling with our desire to be inclusive and progressive with going to far and letting others take too much from us. Hopefully rational, cool, good old common sense balanced with inclusiveness will prevail.

Absolutely! Couldn't agree more, I'm an atheist and also hate racism BUT it seems to be ok to question or even mock any other religion apart from Islam, and that's getting a bit scary

I mock most things, I should be free to do so. Canada has a policy of Multiculturalism but I think all should conform to a greater Canadian value system and have the maturity to take critism including myself @ajoite:

@JimboSaturn: Sure, I get taken the piss out of for my views and beliefs and endlessly questioned, it's ok I can take it, there's no law protecting me though, we just need to find a balance, if we stop being able to talk and question things, we create dictators
