Do you think the two women accused of killing Kim Jong-nam, the estranged half-brother of North Korea's leader are guilty of murder?

They thought it was a TV prank, covered with a poisoned piece of cloth. He died within minutes.

My question is, where did they get the nerve agent they used to kill him? Now consider, since they had it, who else may have access to it?

@minarth008: I think he'd be more likely to sell the chemicals for others to use as opposed to using them himself, don't you think.

@katielass: I sometimes wonder what would happen if he was eliminated. It could go the way you are thinking, and that someone worse could be put into power, or even the military could take over control, and I think that would be just as bad. On the other hand though, what if the 2 Korea's were reunited like Germany? That would solve so many problems in the Asian region. I am sure he killed an uncle, and countless military and cabinet members. I think if someone show any kind of disrespect he kills them. I saw a few days ago, there China did something concerning coal, I don't think they are buying his coal anymore, and he is pissed and throwing a fit. Who knows, he may piss them off to the point, they walk in, and take him out. China is his only ally, and he is becoming an embarrassment to them.

@katielass: I am not sure, everytime we do wargames or anything with South Korea, he starts spouting off about being able to take us out, so there is the chance he could sell the stuff, but I think he would want those few moments of being able to think he hurt us.

Not enough facts and background yet to decide.

I think they were tricked because you have to be really stupid to kill someone in public by those means and think you could get away with it.
Livingwell · 61-69, M
A key question I have is how they were actually able to carry a cloth with VX and not kill themselves and everyone around them? It doesn't seem plausible.
DiamondInTheMud · 31-35, M
that my friend is a good question. Now you're getting me to think they knew something; to which extent? The trial will help put some light on this.
Yes. I don't believe the "I thought it was a prank." ploy for a second!

Taking him down in public wasn't smart at all.
No, but in that part of the world, people will actually participate in torture / snuff flicks if money is given to their family.

If the two women in custody are the ones who did it--and I can't tell from what's been shown on TV---then yes, they are guilty of murder. Their claim they thought it was a prank does not fly.
DiamondInTheMud · 31-35, M
how could did they get a hold of chemical weapon? Why would they do? Vendetta for false promises or not paying for sex? I'm confused lol
katielass · F
Well, your average person would not have access to chemical weapons and they certainly would not happen upon them by accident and unwittingly soak cloth in them and play a "prank" on someone. This is not confusing, they knew exactly what they were doing.
