Why does the President keep lying ?

peachykeen · F
Trump never developed a conscience. What is right or wrong (for him) is based on whether he can get away with something that is often immoral, unethical and even illegal. He doesn't have a sense of limits. He is always right and "perfect". He views others as inferior, boring, stupid, foolish and ignorant.

To him, the bigger the lie - the bigger the adrenaline rush. It will eventually come toppling down. The question is - who is he going to take with him? 🙄
peachykeen · F
@Fernie: You are welcome 🤗

Off to the Supreme Court we go 😉
Fernie · F
@peachykeen: gonna kick some trump ass!
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@peachykeen: Please don't apologise , it was fun to read. :)
firefall · 61-69, M
He doesn't. He literally doesn't know truth from falsehood, so he just says things that he feels like they should be true. This isn't lying so much as narcissistic delusion
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
I think he operates on the premise that 'My truth will be your reality ' ...... and no dissent will be tolerated.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
Because people will believe him. I've often thought this was all a prank to see how far he could push it but its gone pretty far.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Ynotisay: ...... and Sessions , and Tillerson , and Devos ........
Ynotisay · M
@pezzza: ...and Perry and Zinke and the biggest fuck you to reality...Ben Carson.
Ben motherfucking Carson heading HUD.
When I heard the Palin rumor about Canada I barely blinked. Makes perfect sense in this new world.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Ynotisay: ha ha ...... I glipmsed the headline about Palin , but I just couldn't bring myself to read it. I actually hope it's true to be perfectly honest , one more in the clown car.
tatersmcgrumpy · 70-79, M
Because he is a flaming asshole, has self esteem issues, a whore for a wife, latently gay and an awful human being...does that help?

The president NEVER lies!! He just says alternative facts!!! 😂
His mode of communication is expressing outrage, he hardly knows any other way of talking. Anything goes to nurture his outrage. I guess he might be occasionally right, but it doesn't matter much if he has to resort to lies and over-exaggeration.
So many lies...so little time. Let me get this right: CNN, ABC and NBC are fake and the Bowling Green Massacre is real? Okay. Good. Just checking.

Trump is an entertainer. He's an actor and actors are the best liars.

And he's really good at it.

@lacsar: To anyone in command of their faculties and with a grasp of reality , he is lying , and he is a liar. You want to carry on making yourself look even more ridiculous , then feel free.

@pezzza: sorry my friend you're a pot calling an innocent kettle (lascar) black.
Fernie · F
Kelly conjob says " why don't you people focus on the things he says that aren't lies?"

RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
ha ha ! :)
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The President so far has done what he promised. I support the actions of the President to date.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@Jackjjacksonjr: Be honest with yourself Jack. Trump often says one thing one day, then immediately goes back on it. He's flopping all the time. First it's, "The replacement to the ACA is almost done" then it's not going to be ready until 2018. First it's deport all the illegals, then it's just the bad ones. First it's build a solid concrete wall, then it's a "virtual wall". He said he's going to defeat ISIS in the first 30 days of his presidency. Clocks ticking on that one. I don't think anyone realistically believed that, but why would he say such a thing if he knew it wasn't true? To be fair to him, I think a lot of these aren't lies per se, but him just not knowing what he's doing or saying.
Fernie · F
@Xuan12: Jackjjack...always good for an incredulous laugh...thanks
tatersmcgrumpy · 70-79, M
@Jackjjacksonjr: Neither one there jack...that asshole thinks this is a fucking game..
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
Because he's a politician
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
He's not though ..... he's far worse.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@pezzza: His problem is zero diplomatic skill and an innate ability to make America look inept to the rest of the world
SW-User
I believe the definition of politician is 'liar'.
tatersmcgrumpy · 70-79, M
Wrong OceanKayak...he's a flaming asshole
Invisible · 26-30, M
What do you suppose he's lying about?
Invisible · 26-30, M
I don't think he lied about any of those.
3 mill ballots?
@pezzza: He says things like that to manipulate the media.

For example: By claiming that the press did not report terrorist incidents, it forces the press to refute this by RECOVERING all the terrorist attacks. This plays right into Trump's hand because now everyone sees all the terrorist attacks in a short amount of time. It helps convince people that terrorism is a big deal, and justify all the stuff he's doing.
Well I would suppose that even Trump IS a politician in that respect as even OBAMA lied over n over again to hide bs.
You're reaching now. You can't justify this unless you have no moral compass at all.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
Presidents always have to lie. What people want, and what benefits the nation are not always the same thing. The biggest difference is that some presidents do it more intelligently than others. I mean, how many people would support the idea of hostile invasion of a foreign country on behalf of an agricultural corporation, but that's how Hawaii became a state.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@pezzza: Like I said, some do it more intelligently than others.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Xuan12: It's beginning to look like the burden of the office is already taking its toll on him. He's going to implode , I'd put money on it.
Xuan12 · 31-35, M
@pezzza: Yeah, even before the election I was thinking, "If he does get elected, he might not make it through the term." Whether medical or personal, theres a decent chance he leaves office early.
Obama and Hillary were the same liars, just with a different style.
Ynotisay · M
No. You're 100% wrong about that man. Seems like you're sort of trying to justify his lies though. Not sure what you get out of that. Hope it's something good.
Not even close, willyswonka. Not even close.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
.. if trump is SOO good at it.. why is everyone seeing through them?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M

I'm not sure he tells lies, meaning he says things he knows to be untrue. I think more often he says things he believes to be true, or hopes might be true, without bothering to check. I'm not saying that's any better than telling lies.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M

Politicians always lie.
Actions speak louder than words.
SW-User
Seems to be part of the job description.
About what?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
What Gorsuch said.
Ynotisay · M
Buzzfeed is keeping a running tally of his big ones that are particularly outrageous. And before you go all FAKE NEWS on me just know that these are all easily verifiable.
I know it won't matter though. Nothing will matter. This man can do or say whatever he wants and I'm guessing you'll believe him. Even when you start paying the price. That happens to some people. They don't take a step back and see situations with clarity. That's why it's been a successful totalitarianism strategy in the past. It fascinates me.
