What do you think the federal government do if California seceeded.

Will they fight to keep it like they did the south

It's not going to happen. Just like Texas isn't happening.

Though if it did I'd gladly move my ass outta this snowflake state to the snowflake state of Oregon
@peacepuppy: why do you think thats any better?
@sassygirl15: we do so eat it ;)

We we have the 5th largest economy in the world, We are the most populated state, one of the largest Staes have the 3rd largest coast line, 20 percent of the nation's wealth çomes California businesses, we produce up to 90℅ of the nation's produce, and we have one of the most advanced state militaries in the nation.
I mean I loge my country and hope we stay I hope we dont split, but I'm good if we do.

You are also the most liberal state
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
@sassygirl15: yeah that does suck.
We also have the largest welfare economy in the nation although up to 80 percent are people on welfare from form different stages or countries..
If we could get rid of the liberals or at least beat them with a foam covered whiffle bat and smack some sence into them we would be better off.
The radicle liberals anyway.

Most likely the modern government would want to avoid a full on war. The first thing that would probably happen would be the Federal government taking command of the CA guard. Then, federal agents and/or troops would secure Sacramento and regulate the offices, policies, and bills produced there to keep them in line with the US. Ideally this happens without bloodshed. If there is significant bloodshed, the volatile state the nation is in at this moment could have large consequences. So if it happens in the near future, we'll probably see a muted response, at least at first, but then likely proceeding as described.

As I recall Texas had folks making this same threat when Obama won the first time. Just seems to be a thing folks do after one of your elections these days.

There has been more than just talk their state legizlture is rumored to have a Bill about it
ExploringThoughts · 36-40, M
It would be ridiculous to think there would be a full-blown civil war if California--or any state--succeeded.
ExploringThoughts · 36-40, M
@sassygirl15: "Thanks, Obama."

Respectfully, but you sound like a cartoon character trying to claim a former president is the sole cause of division. That division existed long before 2008, and especially ramped up during the presidential primaries last year.

@ExploringThoughts: He caused more especially that June day when his ads stood up on tv and insulted the entire south. Blaming southerners for the acts of one man. He's also encouraging all these riots
ExploringThoughts · 36-40, M
@sassygirl15: Can you remind me what you mean by "that june day"? Sorry, I don't know quite the event that you're talking about.
give it a new flag..

The USA owns way too much of California and California couldn't survive after most American companies bailed.
