The problem with torture is that it gives inaccurate information, among other problems, of course. When someone is shoving a hose down your neck you'll say anything to get them to stop.
it doesn't really matter if torture is good or bad thing, morally. it simply does not work. only a fool would ignore all the evidence. but then, we are talking about trump.

lol, I've had people tell me that you can't lie if they're being tortured. That's not true of course, but that anyone would believe such a silly claim is rather interesting. People can't lie under duress? Hmmmm....
Well, we can be morally disgusted if you like. You can be proud that he would admit that to the world. If you like. You can be worried if the UN or the International Court on Human Rights decides to strip the U.S of it's membership and put it on a 'watchlist', precisely BECAUSE of that admission. If you like. And no doubt there'll be plenty who'll agree. Or even disagree ! YOUR problem comes when the FIRST U.S. citizen is captured in Pakistan or Syria or any other outpost where the C.I.A have eyes and ears. And THEIR president goes on tv to admit the same !!!

The intelligence community actually did a study on this. Guess what! they found out 22% of the test subjects were wrongly apprehended... So they were not terrorists but for some reason (looks, names etc) they were captured. Now imagine torturing them for no reason at all!!!
That's rich coming from an individual who had four draft deferments (during the Vietnam War) and knows zilch about the psychological effects of warfare.
I would sooner listen to the wisdom of Rep. John McCain. A man who actually served this country and paid dearly for it.
Well, when ISIS does it they're "animals". So we're going to become "animals", too. Trump, Pence and McConnell don't have to worry about [b]their[/b] children falling into the hands of any of the countries whose citizens we will have tortured.
It's amazing to me how cruel people can be to each other and others will agree that it's OK and justifiable. If, however, a person kidnaps and tortures and murders another person they are considered a monster (And they are) and possibly put to death.
It's just another instance though of him , and maybe a couple of other people , believing something that everybody else knows to be false. And that's without even getting into the morality of it , which is what I was really talking about.
@room101 ...... don't worry about it mate. He only comes on here to brag about how much he has (or hasn't ) got and how everyone else are 'losers'. The funny thing is that he doesn't seem to realise just what a complete asshole it makes him look.
