What would happen to someone on here who admitted to being a democratic socialist?

Nothing! I personally admire democratic socialists because they are honest democrats. I think Norway is one of the best countries in the world along with Finland, Denmark, etc... Hell. I admitted to being prejudiced against Muslims and blacks, and that pretty much erased me. ( A whole lot of people just won't admit things like that, but I think my black friends have more respect for me because I'm open about my prejudices.)

I imagine on a site as liberal as this, he/she might be awarded some sort of cash prize.

Depends by what you mean by "Democratic Socialist". What Bernie wanted is really Social Democracy. Traditional Democratic Socialism calls for the end to the capitalist system of production and having workers instead share the profit and management. The difference between it and Communism is that Democratic Socialism is closer to what Marx actually imagined. That and we prefer to work via parliamentary reform as opposed to revolution.
