Do the Democrats need to re-engage with class politics to win back power?

Excellent article, which I think accurate critiques both the US and European centre-left establishment.

Keep harping on the Democrats and far right liberalism and populism as all being the same thing. It's not now, never was, and it never will be.

I read through that entire excruciatingly unsightful commentary. De-industrialize.

A typical liberal rewording of their actual selling out the working class with waves of undocumented cheaply obtained south of border foreign worker /voters.

Paying homage to off shore relocation of Industry after industry by granting tax deferrals and incentives for them to maximize workforce layoffs, create a job shortage and depress wages and expand social assistance like food stamps rent assistance energy assistance government owned housing projects rent subsidies. And the few added government workers picking up nice, neat, six figure incomes with 20 yr double dip pensions.

By standing by idly while millions of US workers watched their lifelong pensions and medical insurance become golden parachutes, when US corporations bocame foreign holding operating in the US.

The list is endless. This doesn't even show the tip of the proverbial iceberg but I'll name a few more just to show how wrong he is. Divisionary politics, anyone? Open up an equal opportunity division and start hacking away at any business you can shove out and bring in a minority or female owned business because hey, we all know how the Democrats care about us workers. Look how they encouraged all the "New businesses." Ya, also now subsidized because they are incompetent and can't survive without never ending SBA loans.

But heh, who's going to listen to us "trash" if we say anything. Women came forward and spoke up about job harrassment inside the oval office itself, and if it wasn't for a cum stained dress Monica probably would be at least living in a slum or possibly destroyed herself by now. And this was the caliber of candidate the Democratic party felt was a Best in Show.

Ya right. Hypocrites accuse Trump of racism, when he's actually been banned from some places for advocating way back in the 70s to let blacks in a country club in Maimi Beach. They accuse him of misogyny. Yet nobody in New York including the most powerful Judge there would think to try that or not be instantly ejected and outed in newspapers if they were. Now suddenly papers are printing up that they weren't like rabid dogs after the slightest whiff of sexism for 20 years now and somehow, they overlooked this high profile, very publicly known, high value target misogynist. Bullshit.

I'm not even spilling the big stuff. That article writer hasn't got a clue.

Just saying.

You didn't.

The whole article lambasts the Democrats for abandoning the working class, something which I agree with.
