Is the rise in hate crimes here to stay?

Since the divisive US election campaign and elections, hate crime has gone up rather significantly. Do you expect it to stay? Do you expect more lone wolf terrorist attacks as a backlash from the Muslim community - like the one yesterday in Ohio? More racist attacks?

Short term, absolutely. Things are not going to get better.

I'd also argue with the term Muslim community, it's not like he was an official representative. No more than Dylan Roof or Adam Lanza are representatives of the white community.

That claim has been thrown around, but I don't know if it's a true claim. It might just be paranoia. There's always hate crime. It's probably just people are focusing on it now. I'd have to see stats, before I really made a comment on it. But I do think things are getting very unstable. First with Black Lives Matter stirring up a bunch of bullshit, now with a racist and sexist as President. It really feels like the upper echelons *want* to start a race war or stir around racial relations and fuck them up. I've never seen anything like this level of racial tension in my life.

As for this lone Muslim attacker, I don't know why he did it, but there is always the possibility that it was mental illness instead of religious or racial fervor. As to whether or not I expect more lone wolf attacks, this has been going on for awhile now. Yes. I expect more attacks, because we have 400 mass shootings a year in the U.S. where mass shooting is defined as 4 or more casualties in a public place. Just statistically speaking, some of them are going to be Muslims.

The thing is. Most of these attackers show signs that they are dangerous before actually doing anything. Like the Boston bombing. The government was actually warned about the guy by some other government. But they just didn't do shit. Probably because they're too busy scanning billions of e-mails and spying on the American populace. That's way too much info to sift through. We could do a lot better job if we focused on tips and shit, like we always used to, instead of relying on the Patriot Act and spying on perfectly innocent U.S. citizens.
It looks like it. They have no reason to stop now that their champion is president. As far as attacks from individual Muslims, that doesn't seem to be a concerted effort any more than the hate crimes from Trump supporters.

Some of my friends are professors and they were saying that white supremacist posters are being circulated on college campuses and students are scared. Hate begets hate. This is just so horrible...
@BigAsset: It is. I've been hearing about that too, that's why it infuriates me when some morons are simple enough to believe Trump is anything but a hate-monger.

@bijouxbroussard: the younger generation hasn't really seen racial tensions and it's repercussions. Unfortunately all this is 'teaching' them to hate or make them scared. Neither is acceptable. Am so glad there are sane voices speaking against all this.

White America, which includes the hard struggling middle class worker, has found itself ruled for eight years by a minority who doesn't look like them, talk like them and live among them.

With this win, I think they feel free and unencumbered to loosen their belts on culturally sensitive thought and speech. They can once again claim the "top spot" and protect what all those people of different skin want to steal from them with the help of the corrupt, suspicious government.

Hate crimes will continue. 'Murica is taking charge.

It is not here to stay. There will be peace in our country near future. I strongly believe Donald Trump is seeking the same thing and Obama and Hillary are the ones dividing our country. Peace will be here soon.
@adhane05: Why should I bother with that crap when I know people personally who have been targeted ? That propaganda is to assuage your consciences with what you've unleashed upon this world.
adhane05 · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard: I am trying to show you how evil Hillary really is. I am not showing you propaganda in that first video. Wikileaks in that first video basically sums up how evil she really is and it is from a trusted source. The video explains how George is known for paying people to riot and Hillary is his puppet. I don't want to keep discussing this, but if we can't see eye to eye then I rather not comment anymore. I'm sorry if those were truly Trump Supporters attacks.

It's been a long day and I am going to get some rest.
@adhane05: There were. And I have no doubt that will be more, since people are already trying to deny it and pretend Trump isn't who he announced he was from day one: a white supremacist. That's what his supporters have backed, whether they acknowledge it or not.

I hope not.
A change in the top job is supposed to be inspirational, idealist; hopeful.
But Americans have voted for a man with no ideology. No political skills and no diplomacy and that leads to a very nervous
Bank, uncertain business sector, and a lot of anxious people both at home and all over the world !

I definitely see them increasing under or faux ginger haired hunk of a new President.
I don't think there has been a rise in hate crimes, except for the atrocities committed by leftist animals against people who disagree with them.

@puck61: Okey-doke. It should be interesting with the lowest common denominators running the place for a while...
Things are going to get a hell of a lot better.
*The "rise in hate crimes" is just the result of leftist hysteria, and an intense concentration on 'social issues' As always, the closer you look, the more you see.

@puck61: Yeah, I haven't seen many "leftists" shouting "Heil Hitler," but you believe whatever makes it better.
