Did the leaked e-mails hurt Hillary?

AlphaCuck · 46-50, M
There's that and the growing public awareness of how dishonest she is. I mean, she said she would bring down wall street and yet she's received funding from banks (she has received more funding than any other presidential candidate in history), she's stated that she is for gay marriage when she's supported the traditional view of marriage. She believes that there should be a separate private policy to public policy... and she had the tenacity to call trump supporters the bottom of the barrel. Americans have no tolerance for that kind of elitism, especially from a flip-flopping waste of time.

Yeah. Mostly what hurt her though was the fact that voters wanted change and that's not her.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Her arrogance and being a big part of the establishment of the past 30 years
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
Yes, though It's not clear how much.

But her main problem was that she was part of the establishment for her entire life, part of the power structure...while Trump, who had never held office before (something normally seen as a handicap), was perceived by many as an outsider and a breath of fresh air in spite of his wealth and conservative identification with the rich and powerful.

I'd like to believe that the American people, or about half of them, just got fed up with the policies of globalism, UN Agenda 21 and ICLEI with its social engineering programs.

@greenmountaingal: I don't know. Sometimes you need to be broken down before you can be built up stronger. But this part's gonna hurt.

@Oconnor: I think the presidency is different. A president needs to know what the problems are, have a vision on how to fix them. A non-politician sees things that a politician might not see. The trick is to hire the best people, and listen to them. A fault Obama has of not listening, even criticized by democrats for it.

@GunSmoke9: Your baseless criticism of Obama aside, I will concede that maybe another point of view can help the presidency. I think we significantly differ on which point of view that is.

Yes it did. It was really close in most battle ground States. Those nine days after the first comey letter really did her in...

@Svarog: actually the 'hidden trump' vote did exist.

Yup. And working-class frustrations, and the celebration of ignorance and xenophobia and fear-mongering. They all hurt her. She hurt herself.

I think having the issue falsely raised again 10 days before the election really hurt her a lot

The content of the emails shed light on the inner workings of her campaign and the way she conducted business. It gave insights to her character that no amount of grooming or primping could cover up. Yes, they hurt her.

probably not that much. I think everyone had pretty much decided T H or AABTT shortly after the primaries were done.
tynamite · 31-35, M
no. the fbi investigated her emails and didn't charge her.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
and a lot of things were revealed by those e-mails that need to be addressed.
SW-User
@cherokeepatti: that's never gonna happen. It was just nonsensical gibberish.
it hurt her campaign.

Let's hope so ☺
