What's the nicest/coolest thing a family member did for you growing up?

They were abusive to me. That in turn caused me to never want to be anything like them. Thank you family for your abuse. Through that I have a great life now.

My mom cut the stuffed alligator off her novelty crocodile handbag she brought back from the Philippines and gave it to me...I carried that thing around like Simon Birch carried the stuffed armadillo his friend gave him.

My older sister (10 years older) allowed me to hang with she and her friends. She never told me to get lost. And I'm sure she would have preferred I wasn't always around.

My grandfather traded in his car and together with the cash savings, I had accumulated from working, assisted me in purchasing my first car, at age 17.
