How old should a kid be before you tell the truth about Santa?

I think there should be a line to draw somewhere as I hear of kids getting to 7th grade still believing. At that point is a parent selfish in preserving the "innocence"?

[c=#4C0073]If a kid doesn't figure it out before 7th grade the kid's either got ninja spies for parents or the kid's an idiot.[/c]

@HumblleJumblle: Probably just sandbagging the parents for getting his list of gifts filled. 😂

@SchifiniYeppyKase: [c=#4C0073]Most likely. I figured it out in 3rd grade, but I technically believed until 6th grade when my grandmother figured out that I had already known. Ahh the good days 😆[/c]

@VioletRayne: LMAO .. Yep those were the days 👍🏼😂

Or you can skip lying to them from the start.

That's what I think but it doesn't make me very popular!

I can understand the "spirit of giving", but someone please help this kid. I'm surprised his fellow mates haven't already messed him up. good luck

At 12 or Earlier
All kids, except for the retarded, Know the Truth about Santa!!

Any kid that plays along after that is just sucking up to his delusional parents

When they start asking complicated questions and the lie gets ridiculous

keeping kids "innocent" is selfish asf and doesn't do him any favors as a young adult.
Never...just don't foist it. There's enough time for cynicism

I can't believe kids in 7th grade still believe in it. Maybe they were joking. I remember that kids with older siblings told us the truth in kindergarten. And I told it to my sister when she was 4.
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
I don't think it was a joke. the kids believed that their parents would never splurge how they did on Christmas so it could only be Santa.
erik2000 · 22-25, M
@HumblleJumblle: Haha maybe they were a bit retarted. Where I live Santa comes on 6 December and not on Christmas. But no kid above 6-7 believes it haha.
wickey · 70-79, M
Depends on the child and if even we are not told the truth of other worldly matters by the rulers, I see no reason why an innocent joke with no ulterior motives should be done away with.
I think 17 is a good age for that.
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
@Th1nkF1rst: no kidding - when kids start learning sex Ed and still believe in Santa in 7th grade, I think that's wrong.
Th1nkF1rst · 70-79, M
They're lying
NiftyWhite · 46-50, F
@Th1nkF1rst: No they truly believed their own parents couldn't afford to buy them the kind of gifts they got on Christmas because they struggled to make ends meet much of the time . They really thought it's Santa.
KingofPizza2 · 36-40, M
I don't think they ever *need* to "believe" in the first place. He can be just as much fun without the charade.
What you mean by the truth
Ofcourse I believe ,I got the bot last year 😋
