No I think NOT in this way. I found this digusting.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
This is NOT disgusting. It is a measure of safety for special needs children. Get a grip.
Meli4win · 31-35, F
@JaggedLittlePill: That if an excuse for specila need parents and nothing else. And it is digusting.
Complete parenting fail.

@JaggedLittlePill:

"Special needs" maybe, and then only if the child's condition genuinely merits it. Otherwise it is degrading and not the way to teach a child, safety.

They are a good idea for very small children who have just learned to walk but generally it's best just to hold their hand. Makes them feel loved and bonded

No. never felt the need to put a leash on my child...
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
Ok
No. children are not dogs and shouldn't be on a leash of any kind.

I think younger kids need it and special needs kids. If a child is a danger to themselves it might be prudent to use a harness until they can be taught better or safer behaviors. Really depends on circumstances. I would not suggest it after like age 6 in most cases.

I am one of five and my mother never used these ,,, I also had two children and never used this rig ,,, you have to teach your children to listen and pay attention ,,, also there are repercussions for not listening ....

i used a wrist lead as they got older
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
I could need one, i always find myself running off to places when i need to work
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
Lol
RachelLia2003 · 18-21, F
That looks humiliating. Please don't do that to your children.
RachelLia2003 · 18-21, F
What's your final decision about reins? Are you going to use them on your child or not?
MrsPeterEvans · 31-35, F
@rachelcares: I don't have children yet but we are trying. I think I would
RachelLia2003 · 18-21, F
Thank you for your reply. That's not my business to criticise your parenting but I hope you won't use those things when you have a child. Thank you again.

mrspeterevans I remember my younger brother having them when we where out with our parents lol they way he carries on now as adult I think he could still do with them
ArishMell · 70-79, M
I remember they being used for toddlers, but not older children. The girl in that photo looks about 5 or 6 - too old for reins; and I wonder what her parents intend.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Not for a child who is capable of staying with you and holding your hand.

These are made for children with Autism and other special needs. Ones who are prone to running off in the blink of an eye.
shyamy97 · F
My mom would say older for reins ma'am.
Confined · 56-60, M
Are or were reins used on you shyamy97?
shyamy97 · F
