I loved George Carlin. Especially in his early days. The first 4 LP's. Yes LP's. Vinyl-the best!

But I also miss Lenny Bruce- who paved the way for George and all the others who would use language(sometimes profane and vulgar) to describe their humor. When Lenny got into legal trouble, (in Berkley?) his humor stopped being funny- as his humor was more of a critique of the judicial system.

I remember Lenny Bruce and his strong dislike for the legal system such as it was in those early days .

I'm a bigger fan of Bill Maher. But George is good ol' classic.

this video was made in his memory
Oh gosh, didn't know he passed. RIP George and thanks.
I recall watching Carlin on HBO specials, during the early 1980's. I thought that he was hilarious then, but could be very raunchy and over-the-top with the blue humor. I think he has become less vulgar with time, though. I haven't seen much of him of late.
