Who's your favorite fictional character and what's your favorite thing about them?

Hard to choose... Despite the name I use, I'm going to say my favorite fictional character is Ovan from .hack//G.U. The lengths he went to to save someone dear to him is something I aspire to be in real life. It's a long story, but to make it short, his little sister had an incurable illness, so he sent her to Germany for experimental treatment and worked hard to pay for it. They played online games to spend time together, despite the distance. She falls in a coma and he spends a couple of years manipulating people and events to create a cure for her, at the expense of his own life and legacy.

I love the lord of the rings, so I'd say Frodo, carrying the ring to Mordor. He didn't choose to have the ring, and it was a burden, yet he used every breath in his body to get the ring to mount doom. Just like someone overcoming a difficulty and succeeding.
