Did you ever feel like seeing a certain movie saved your life?

Or at least your sanity...?

No, but some has made me feel everyone doesn't fit into the same mold. October Sky is one.

I'll have to see that one. In that area, I'm a fan of Harold and Maude.

Wow! Did you go out and join the Army?
The Marines yes 🙂
For a Marine there is no funnier movie. 🙂

Yes, some movies are just beautiful and touching.

Nothing quite that intense, but definitely some invoked sincere emotion. What about you?

I thought of this question while I was listening to the songs from the movie White Christmas over the radio while I was waiting to get my gray hair banished at a hair salon. As a child, back in the 1950s, this movie made a huge positive impression on me and almost certainly changed my life for the better.

@saltypookie: If you read my story about my bizarre childhood (under the group heading: I Wan To Know My Family's Lies and Secrets) you will understand why seeing a positive movie about people helping each other to be happy really got to me.

"Good will hunting" gave me some understanding on self acceptance and a different perspective on the bullies that were my family.
