I Love My Car

I guess I will be the first to write about this topic. There are a lot of things in life that I love. My husband, our pets, our life. Might as well love my car. Cars. Maybe really, really like. My Mustang GT. That one is first, the Porsche is second. But only in Spring, Summer and Autumn. Then I fall in love with my Toyota Sequoia. Very good in the snow. Never had the others in the snow, just going according to advice. Some day I will eventually love the MGA's nesting in our shop. Being restored. Slowly. There are other priorities above cars. Never loved or even liked my old Nissan. In very bad condition. Drove it before meeting my husband. Actually, drove it if it would start. Not sure Kars 4 Kids would even accept it as a donation. Junk yard did, after being rear ended! 🍀

I like driving. The Mustang and Porsche are fast, but have never gotten them up to anything past highway speed. Had a Mercedes before the Porsche. The Mustang was an anniversary present. My husband managed to sneak it in the garage without my knowing. Found it the morning of our anniversary. ☘

We were not even married yet, only dating, when my Nissan was totaled in an accident. My future husband bought me the Benz. With our anniversary approaching, he bought the Mustang. His it somewhere, then snuck it in the garage. The morning of our anniversary he did not say a word. Told me that I was not needed at work till after lunch, then gave me a chore list and said to make myself useful. He left for work and told me to drive careful while out running chores. I almost fell over when I went in the garage. The Mustang was in my spot with the keys, a card and flowers on the front seat. A big bow on the roof. Never expected this, but he knew I always liked a Mustang GT. 🍀

Thanks! It is a 2014. I always loved Mustangs, just could never afford one. Lucky I was able to afford shoes. A spring and summer car. Has never seen snow or ice. I prefer it over the Porsche. Porsche is great, just too flashy. The Mustang was a total surprise as I never expected one. 🍀

MGA, yes I remember them. I translated an article about restoring them once. I don't think I'd be able to find it now, unfortunately. However, being what they are they are well catered for and should be rewarding to put back on the road. They were not very comfortable or civilised, but they date from a period when such things were not expected of comparatively inexpensive sports cars. The 'best buy' was probably the 1600.

Never been rear ended in my car, but have been mounted and banged in my husband’s truck! 🙀

Well I'm glad your husband got it for you. The 2014 GT's are great cars. All the Mustangs are great to me though.
