I think queer is a general term for non-straight people, I could be wrong though. Gabs knows better than I do.

Some people do not feel that they fit into any of the binary labels, such as Lesbian/Gay, Bisexual, so queer covers all sexual orientations.

Everyone who isnt a cisgenre heterosexual can use the word "queer" to define themselves. BUT not every non-heteto feels comfortable with the word cause it used to be a slur so beware when using it
