Not Into Religion, But Something Strange Is Happening

I’ve never been into religion, actually, I’ve always disliked organized religion and what it represents. But over the past few months, something unexpected has happened. I’ve found myself sort of praying to a personal goddess, just quietly, on my own terms. And honestly? Since then, good things have been happening almost nonstop. The outcomes I want keep going my way, almost like magic.

I’m not sure if this is just a coincidence, my mind looking for patterns, or something deeper. Am I crazy for feeling this? Has anyone else experienced something like this, where your own kind of faith, totally outside traditional religion, somehow feels real and powerful?

Would love to hear your thoughts.

There are still many things about the mind we don't know. But it seems that people who behave with a religious outset can find peace. You don't have to believe in any dogma. Your chosen deity could be the Flying Spaghetti Monster for all that it matters. But having something to express your emotions and wishes might be good for you.
Continue to do what makes you feel good and continue to look up things concerning this. There's one YouTuber I recently heard about that's a secular pastor or something like that and she talks about keeping the emotional benefits of what she calls spiritual experiences without it being spiritual in the religious sense, if that makes sense.

Anything that makes you feel less alone and more secure isn’t a bad thing. I think maybe miracles are a stretch, but who am I to know.

You may be becoming aware of better things or appreciating them since you began taking a meditative approach, rather than a per se cause and effect. Or, you are making positive changes and are responsible for the good things. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Are you crazy? No, I feel you are beginning to find your spiritual realm. Not so much prayer as manifestation and yes, it’s magic.
our minds see patteerns everywhere
part of our evoltionary path
but just becasue you see one does not mean it is real or important

DOnt give in to superstitious thoughts
dont drown your mind in an illusion
Humans are pattern seeking creatures and often use what is called "argument from ignorance".

We are all children of The Enlightenment, which means we can demand strong evidence before committing to any belief.

Honestly both of those answers are equally plausible to me right now lol

I believe a personal relationship with YOUR god is the only true faith. .

Like most people, you confuse religion and faith. Keep your faith.

@friendlykinkster That's a good point!

Sounds wishfully delusional to me.

You're being guided, that simple.

Thoughts becomes things. That has nothing to do with religion or gods that don't exist. It's all you.
HorrorandMusic · 26-30, FVIP
@Ynotisay But what about when it comes to influencing others?
Ynotisay · M
@HorrorandMusic I'm not following you. If you're talking about your influence on others than that's pretty obvious. People are influenced by those who are positive and feel good.
HorrorandMusic · 26-30, FVIP
@Ynotisay Sorry. I'll use a specific example. A few weeks back my dad's friend was supposed to come by and we were supposed to go tool shopping, I didn't really feel like going but I was being forced to. So that morning in bed I prayed to the goddess and all of a sudden my dad's friend canceled and we ended up not going.
