Serious Question: Do Fundamentalist Christians actually believe that stars will "fall from the sky" during the second coming

Let's be real, it's a metaphor. Or could be meteors. If the Sun, nevermind all the stars in the sky (Blue Giants Neutron Stars, Red Dwarves etc), "fell from the Sky" it would be the end of the universe and we'd all be obliterated before getting to Heaven 馃ぃ

The Bible, as a product of that time, reads like it鈥檚 mythology and fiction. Supernatural statements and superior beings are at the core. Humans in all mythology are portrayed weak and trivial. The non-human characters are usually created immortal. It鈥檚 obvious angels were also made in God鈥檚 image. Lucky us that we must work our way through obstacles and jump flaming hoops. Just to attain a small chance of an immortal afterlife.

"All fiction is metaphor. Science fiction is metaphor. What sets it apart from older forms of fiction seems to be its use of new metaphors, drawn from certain great dominants of our contemporary life鈥攕cience, all the sciences, and technology, and the relativistic and the historical outlook, among them. Space travel is one of these metaphors; so is an alternative society, an alternative biology; the future is another. The future, in fiction, is a metaphor."

@SpiritualMan Space travel in fiction is metaphor. The Bible is fiction thus metaphor.
Angels were made in the image of God. Many things in the bible ARE literally true, but they ALSO convey higher level spiritual truths, but spiritual TRUTHS, NOT spiritual MYTHOLOGY....
Truth can be tested. Truth demands to be tested. Compile a list of validated literally truths.
