This scripture was on my mind just yesterday
@Phantome Not always a test of faith, but help in growing in faith.
We have to be saved … born again of he spirit! I know that!!!!!

And when you sin AFTER a Christian if you don’t repent… you shall find yourself in hell.

Im not no naïve to think that Christians don’t sin! I know they do! I also know back sliding is not an over night thing!.

You are misleading to make Christians think they can sin and still go to heaven …

I shall never debate this with you! Have a very pleasant night, day and life.

Jesus saved us FROM our sins!
NOT in our sins!
@NoGamesTolerated And I’m done with this!

@NoGamesTolerated Jesus paid once for all sin. His work was an amazing sacrifice for us. We can not take any credit for our salvation. Nothing we do can earn heaven. He died for all my sins, yesterdays, todays, and tomorrows sins praise God. When he died he said "It is finished" He went to the Father and sat down. The work is done!

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not by yourselves, it is a gift from God. Not by works, so no one can boast" Eph 2:9
It's a beautiful saying but there are people who have asked Jesus(God ) for a burden to be more restful and it never happened.
@Phantome sometimes it doesn’t and I still know He is in control. He doesn’t promise health, wealth, prosperity. He does promise to keep us during those times. There is the story of Job and all he went through. He had true faith in God even as he lost everything. His wife wanted job to curse God and die, but he didn’t. There are many Christians who suffer through all kinds of things. Trials are promised. All Christians WILL have trials. It’s a testing of genuine faith.

@Phantome We don't experience salvation because of a feeling but because the Holy Spirit comes and dwells in our hearts. God will be with us in trials. He will never leave us or forsake us! It has nothing to do with our emotions. It is salvation.
The weight of sin is overwhelming and trying to keep the law perfectly is impossible:

18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out.
19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. (Romans 7:18, ESV)

But Christ! He delivers us!

24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. (Romans 7:24, ESV)

Those who are in Him can REST ASSURE there is NO CONDEMNATION! :

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1, ESV)

Yes, if Christ truly dwells in us, we WILL BE WITH HIM. :

10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. (Romans 8:10, ESV)

Nothing can separate us from Him:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (Romans 8:35, ESV)

Nothing means nothing can separate us from Him, nothing:

38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38, ESV)

@NoGamesTolerated We are to be obedient yes but we do sin, and when we do we feel terribly guilty if we are christians. We don't go to heaven because of our obedience though but because of our faith in what Jesus did, and The Holy Spirit in-dwelling in us! Jesus took ALL our sins on His shoulders.

@Thedoorislocked Beautiful words that you shared, thank you!🙏
Deny self , pick up your cross and follow me. The cross He is talking about is being willing to suffer for His sake even to the point of death, even death on a cross.

LYING FOR JESUS IS STILL A LIE !
@DocSavage That depends on the Observer. You don't know a lie from the truth.
DocSavage · M
Why don’t you give it a rest.
@DocSavage She could say the same for you. Point that finger back at yourself. I have never seen such a hateful disposition.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
He did and does indeed 🙂 The bit I puzzle over is this and balancing it with the part about having you're own cross to bear.

I can't get them to coexist in my head, but they probably do lol

@DocSavage Thanks!😂

@Tinkles But nothing compared to what it cost Jesus.
