@Sniper i was reading reddit and a comment left by a vet stated that people who believe automatic weapons are more deadly have little experience with firearms and even less experience in combat.

in real life mags dont last very long, in fact the foreign legion had to enforce a mandatory burst fire to prevent heavy trigger fingers from expending to much ammo to quickly.

@Sniper how can anyone say they are restricted when a person with mental health problems can buy one legally?

@hlpflwthat but how do you know for sure? are vets not allowed on reddit or something? do they not exist? and for that matter is information given by a credible source automatically invalid when passed on by someone less credible without even researching it yourself first?

I don't know for sure. But it's reddit - as anonymous as this site is. The debate should and is about to be held in public(for a change) - in the light of day. We are at a point we obviously cannot wait to talk about it any more. The next shooting will likely happen before any healing takes place. 'Now is not the time' has passed, I'm afraid.

ppl can lie about anything, not just military service. if you dont believe ppl claiming to be vets why do you believe victim stories and irrational cries for banning things that are there to protect freedom and resist tyranny?

whoever want guns banned wants to be controlled by government and do not want to be responsible for themselves and their families safety, they invite domination yet complain that the russians may be controlling their president, that is hypocritical.

if you want to be controlled then dont complain about whether or not your leader is also a puppet, you clearly dont want that right because you dont want the ability to defend that right and when you cannot defend and enforce your own rights, you have no rights.

@MissPriscillaPrim actually i live in canada, i live in a country where there are already gun laws, and guess what, now only the criminals and the police are the ones with ar 15's, and the innocent are still being shot, i watched police carry an ak 47 out of a raided residence next to the job site, now why didnt gun laws stop those criminals from getting it?

gangsters riding around with sawed off shotguns and 22's shooting everybody, i wish i could get one legally so i could protect my family, and if i could get an at least equal weapon then all the better. equal force laws after all

@hlpflwthat of course not, why would we? we dont have gun shops everywhere, but we did have a school shooting in Saskatchewan that noone heard about.. we had a few actually, we even had a guy shoot a bunch of rcmp officers, why didnt your proposed laws save us? you are saying it will help well why doesnt it?

@hlpflwthat i live in a ghetto surrounded by guns drugs and murder, and i am unarmed, schools are unprotected.

the reason we have no gun shops littering the streets is because we are not allowed to buy them, they are overpriced just due to import taxes discouraging gun makers, so we have liquor stores and beer vendors instead.. so much better.. kids stumbling around drunk until they are shot dead

@xSharp Sorry I assumed too much about where you live... Of course you can't put a complete stop to all illegal trade in weapons. What does that have to do with hundreds of psychos committing mass murder year after year because nearly any idiot can buy an assault weapon in the US? What does a sane limit on the firepower available to our citizens have to do with your worries of castration I mean total gun confiscation and tyranny?

@MissPriscillaPrim if you cannot stop illegal weapons then make all weapons legal, is that not what they say they should do with drugs to curb the black market?

personally i trust an honest idiot over a rapist or other type of criminal with a gun

and then shooting unarmed innocent ghetto kids that didnt choose their parents.. but even then there are tons and tons of stabbings, cant we ban knives first? they are obviously more deadly due to the sheer proportion of them in relation to shootings..

like was said earlier, "we cant wait any longer" so knives first and well see if their serious about public safety or if they just want an unarmed population.. fucking sporks for everybody

@xSharp Yadda yadda You never answered my first question. How does your owning a machine whose only purpose is to slaughter many people with one finger-press stop tyranny? I see no difference between that and a preteen girl talking about makeup leading to kisses from a boy and then having a baby.

@MissPriscillaPrim because one finger press also empties their entire mag of bullets, semi auto just prolongs the killing spree, isnt less death what your all about right now?

and it wont stop tyranny it prevents it from taking hold, canada doesnt have guns because we were still apart of the english empire, which were tyrannical and took our guns right after america won their freedom in order to prevent freedom from happening here, thats why america attacked canada, we were english and if more would have supported the attack we could have been liberated.
