I was pulled over yesterday, and I was relieved to see that the officer was a Hispanic female [I Am About To Say Something Controversial]

The offense you may ask?

There was an error in [b]THEIR[/b] system which read that my registration was expired.

My registration is NOT expired, which she realized, once she ran my stuff.

She apologized and I was on my way.

That's all, carry on

{@iamnikki ] putting aside the officers genuine mistake . it should never matter what sex or ethnic culture they are . the job of any policeman is too uphold the law fairly to all citizens .

Yeah well I have an e bike that is total legal (it's a 750w motor and so no license is required or nothing in my state) and I got pulled over one time coming back home from work officer didn't tell me why he just pulled me over asked for my ID and I showed him and then sent me on me on my way after asking me questions about my bike which he knew nothing about. Still never told me exactly why he pulled me over but yeah

I've had the police involved for various accidents. There was also this one time when I was trying to get gas and I turned into the station the wrong way, but only when it was safe to do so😃. After talking to me a bit he gave me a field sobriety test, which I passed. I believed I was just ticketed for an illegal turn.

@MrBrownstone they can type in your license plate number while you are siting at the light to see if your reg is current, as she did with me. She even showed me the error in the system

@Camelia I knew what YOU meant. I was referring to what the poster meant. Hispanic in the US may have begun as racist and still surely is to some. However, it's also a way for those of similar heritage to form a political group and thus exercise power. It's not a race, any more than Mexican or Russian is. Or American. I live in a primarily Hispanic community and have more than once heard my neighbors describe me as 'not Hispanic.' I didn't regard it as racist and still don't. It's a descriptor.
