I still don't understand

How the 80's and 90's, the height of Boomers, were absolutely fraught with moral panics and fears, and now, they couldn't be bothered that there is an actual pedophile as president.

Like, in their prime, they couldn't go a week without some moral outrage. When there is an actual reason for moral outrage, they just say, "Suck it up."

How did they get to this place?!

Because "moral panics" were never about actually trying to solve those problems, they were about looking for easy scapegoats for those problems.
