Trust in your self and your Power. Any things that lines up with you and you Power will prove itself in time

I used to be way too naive and trusting, now I know better. Be friendly but people will have to show they can be trusted.

@revenant @SW-User Yeah, that's what I'm concluding as well.

It's only worth it if the person is worth it.
Whether I trust someone or not depends entirely on them having consistent behavior through out the times.

@SoulKey Good policy. Not foolproof but nothing is.
Yeah just don't do it, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment (is my cynical opinion right now).
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@Nihiless I largely agree.

My "trust issues" have had my back more often than some of the things I've put my trust in LOL

I've come to see them as part of my self preservation instinct.

Make connections with better people
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@caccoon How do you propose one do that? Is it a mere numbers game? I.e., fucking around and finding out? Lmao.
caccoon · 36-40
@GeistInTheMachine yeah, like hanging out with different people and seeing whose values you relate to

Everything else will seem to fall into place with the right folk
Who was it who said, "Trust but verify" ? Having one’s guard up isn’t a bad thing, but it can be a lonely life not to ever let anyone in.
@huskyguy89 I just looked it up: It is an old Russian proverb, but it was made popular in the U.S. by none other than Ronald Reagan, not someone I generally quote. 😄
huskyguy89 · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard likewise. But I mean words of wisdom are words of wisdom even if the source isn't necessarily someone we'd like them coming from.😄 I'm right there with ya on ol' Reagan. I'm young enough I missed his term but I'm a history lover.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard Yeah, that was the Commies.
huskyguy89 · 31-35, M
It's definitely worth it with the right people. The challenge is finding the right people. It's impossible to go through life without trusting SOMEONE. But it is safer to guard your heart or thoughts..hope you find a few people you can trust and feel safe around to let down your guard a bit. 🤜🤛

@huskyguy89 Thanks man. Cheers.

A stun gun and a canister of mace for starters

i dont. lack of trust only protects you. Make people earn your trust and never try ignoring feelings of lack of trust
