Of course there have been more deaths from the flu. However, with the flu there is a vaccine for it to prevent catching it. Plus everyone has had the flu, knows the duration, Knows what to take and do if ever they catch it, etc. This virus is something new and I believe that’s why there is more concern over it than influenza.

Agreed, I have panic disorder so I hate panic. I've intentionally began tuning it out, I'm not a millionaire so I don't have a "panic" room filled with a bunch of medicine and food if things go south, I just have to accept it and live my life. Worrying will stop everything, it will stop me going to school, it will stop me from making money in general or even exercising. No use in stopping what I'm doing, whatever happens, happens.

I do however think that even though the flu kills more, we know about the flu and its characteristics. I think what is causing panic in people more than the deaths is the unknown factor.

You're certain the person hasn't developed an early stage viral condition?

Are they telling you [i]everything[/i]? are you 100% sure?

No chance at all they are seeking medical reference to cause harm to someone else? are you completely certain? Would you stake your reputation on it?

A lawyer would [i]love [/i]you for offering medical advice unqualified.

I just read that the first case of community spread in California was originally denied treatment and a test as it didn’t meet the CDCs criteria. They are intubated and in serious condition.
