So if healthcare is a human right

and nobody should have to die because they can't afford it
and even if you don't use it yourself you still benefit because a medically health society is good
then how come the rest of the world doesn't just pay for Americans to have healthcare?

The US gov created a narrative where they get to pose as never needing foriegn help and aid, only providing it..Which is in most cases untrue.

Healthcare is a human right but it seems like each country has so many different rules and vary drastically between culture that I doubt they'd pay for our healthcare regardless. It seems like countries only really come together if it's convenient for them like in cases of war. I think to me it seems like each country is sort of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" sort of agreeance, that's just the feeling I get. I could be wrong.
It’s a matter of paying for social problems at the front end, or the back end.

A friend was a nurse. Well paid, had health insurance.

Got in a head-on collision with a guy high on crack. He had no car insurance and was judgement proof as he had no assets. He went to prison. Was ordered to pay restitution, never paid a cent.

She was out of work because she was seriously injured. Paid COBRA. Couldn’t anymore. Lost her job. Lost health insurance. Couldn’t keep up with some basic shit. Couldn’t afford the doctor. Couldn’t afford meds. Couldn’t renew the scripts.

BOOM. She’s in the ER. Congestive heart failure. Fast tracked to Medicaid. Now the tax payer is into her case ~1M$.

Pay less earlier, more later.

It’s just economics.

@CopperCicada we can cut that off then she doesn't get covered by taxpayers and we can let her sell the perpetrator into slavery or for what little organs or medical research they can harvest from a junkie. These other circumstances don't have to exist.

I'm sure that by helping the Americans the other countries will also pay less earlier since that is what they believe.
@Jackaloftheazuresand Well, if we really don’t want to have the tax base care for those without healthcare, we have to morally and socially accept a subset of people who will be unnecessarily sick, have limited productivity (and thus market participation re consumption), and eventually being out of work. And who will die early.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@CopperCicada I accept. It's time this lawn was allowed to grow wild again

Probably because of respecting national sovereignty. They can offer all they want, but until America wants it, it aint happening in America. Not a matter of finances. Granted, the world could unilaterally declare war on the U.S. and subjugate the nation, and than institute an all nations subsidy. But thats not going to happen.
Moosepantspatty · 31-35, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand eh, i dont think charging for service is incompatible with their statements about us needing better healthcare. Subsidies only go so far.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@Moosepantspatty That would be a different matter. I'm sticking to the chaff
Moosepantspatty · 31-35, M
@Jackaloftheazuresand sure if youre stuck to the concept of having free healthcare period. But that just seems like circular logic; cant have gun violence without guns, etc. Theres no advantage to citizenship if there is no advantages to citizenship. And with the attitudes of most peoole whenever anyone mentions a one-world plan, thats just not gonna work.
Elessar · 26-30, M
You really believe that the 1st economy in the world cannot afford having a public healthcare system?

The sole reason why you don't have one is the profit of a tiny minority of de-facto oligarchs.

Nobody has any rights
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
Is this really the best you people can do? I suppose it is... the smart ones among you would know this was an unwinnable battle. The rest were just fools who didn't know they were cornered from the start.

Because it's not a right.
And every living person is going to die, unequivocally, no matter how many meds they take or surgery they have. Maybe harsh, but it's the truth.
Daviszabecki · 56-60, M
By that logic, if you believe the US should have an army, it should also pay for every other nations army, including china
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@Daviszabecki Yes by that EXACT logic, good thing nobody considers the army a human right or believes people are owed protection.
Why should the rest of the world pay for American stupidity when they already pay enough for it.
Jackaloftheazuresand · 26-30, M
@canusernamebemyusername for the beliefs they hold as stated above. I think even you should have caught on to that
RoxClymer · 41-45, M
