Do you enjoy changes in your life/job etc.

Or do you prefer things stay the way they are
SW-User
Depends. I grew VERY accustomed to change as a kid so it was sort of a part of my character. I still like change, but most people would consider my life to be a stable one...especially for my age. I already have children, a long-term partner, and a job I want to continue doing and make a career out of. When you have kids, you learn very early on the importance of consistency.

I always want to be more knowledgeable though. I want to become more patient, so I don't always feel like I'm in a rush to learn things.

I live and work at one of the 7 wonders of the world.. All because I took a risk.. change is good sometimes 🙂
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@SW-User awesome. Do you love it?
SW-User
@Starcrossed sometimes yes/ sometimes no.. gets boring out here lol
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@SW-User I can imagine. What a great experience though.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
No. There has been too many changes and instability in my life. I need things to remain stable and constant for a change.
Lilymoon · F
@Carissimi Yep I get that...
I did at one point ease into structure but i felt it was like being pigeon holed! (Havent used that term in a while and it now sounds kinda rude)

So i struck out on my own now everyday is an adventure!

Primarily finding places to hide from the CRA, bank manager, militant employees etc.. Keeps me on my toes!
Lilymoon · F
@Majorlatency Yup I totally get that 😆
@Lilymoon Oh Lily, I've always got you.. Well in my imagination anyway.. Have a great weekend, it looks glorious out there! 🥂
Lilymoon · F
@Majorlatency you too Major 🥂

Familiarity is nice but change brings challenges which makes us rise to the occasion.

Lilymoon · F
@eyeno Yes! And great pic 😁
JustNik · 51-55, F
Ah neither. 😂 I don’t mind overmuch the small gradual ones, but I wouldn’t say I’ve downright enjoyed many of them much either. Some manage to have a little good side to help me through. The big fast ones are white-knuckle rollercoasters that I get through by reminding myself I haven’t been killed by one yet. But I know things staying the way they are simply is not an option. 🤷‍♀️
Lilymoon · F
@JustNik yup sometimes it's a good thing in the long run
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
My neurodivergency makes changes difficult.
PassingThrough · 41-45, M
Depends if the changes are positive or negative. My job does change and requires some adaptability but I also know when they make changes usually those help in some way or another rather than hinder. In my personal life changes basically lead to me reassessing things and figuring out creative solutions.
SW-User
Right now I welcome change with open arms. Bring it
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Change is always difficult for me, as I have too much experience with change being nothing but bad. Even so, I often feel like I'm in a rut and wish something would change, hopefully for the better.
I prefer stability, but that doesn't mean that should always be in the same way. A change towards a different rythm once in a while is welcome.
Lilymoon · F
@NerdyPotato Yup agreed
JustEd · 41-45, M
So many changes lately but things still the same. I prefer stability but hate when it feels stagnant
Lilymoon · F
@JustEd sometimes change is good
JustEd · 41-45, M
@Lilymoon Yeah. It is. 😔
WindTherapy · 56-60, M
I'm a creature of habit, so prefer any change to come slow and calculated. :)
Lilymoon · F
@WindTherapy yep I get that ....nothing like having a change you don't want thrust on you all at once.
SW-User
It depends but change makes me anxious
Lilymoon · F
@SW-User yeah cause it might be something you're not sure you're gonna like.
SW-User
@Lilymoon that seems to be the trend lately
Few things remain great over long periods of time. Change, adapt or die.
Whyme · 46-50, M
I do pretty much the same job just at lotsa places
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
Nothing changes if nothing changes.
Lilymoon · F
@LunarOrbit that's true!
sciguy18 · M
Whenever I have a change, it turns out to be bad so...
SW-User

Whyme · 46-50, M
@skymint a man this lonely deserves a woman like you , she was a fast machine kept the motor clean best damb woman i ever seen
DDonde · 31-35, M
Honestly I like it when things are predictable work-wise. That being said being stuck in a bad job is suffocating so I need to make that change happen.
Lilymoon · F
@DDonde yup...I get that
I prefer the security of a fixed routine, tbh. I like to know what I’m dealing with.
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
I like stability, myself!
Lilymoon · F
@TheLordOfHell yeah you just get used to something and then it changes haha... but sometimes it's a good thing.
