I Am Fascinated By Human Behavior

Do most people in other countries see Americans as selfish, greedy people with a big sense of entitlement? A coworker who's son travels a good bit says this is the case. I've never left the country but I work with the public and most people do expect things to be handed to them and to get special treatment. I didn't know if it was this way in Europe or not. Our cushy American has probably taught a sense of entitlement with a spoiled brat mentality.

I’m European and yes we do think this way where I’m from. It’s a bit biased of course because we only get to meet tourists where I’m from, and tourist from any country are just all around terrible. But every room I’ve been in that has an American in it they always have to be the loudest and get the most attention

@blessedJess Thanks for answering. Yes I know that type of person real well, always has to get attention. Very tiring to be around

I used to thin that when I lived outside the US. After moving here, Ive realised thats only true of the middle & upper class Americans, who are the ones you meet overseas. Working class americans, not so much.

@firefall What country did you live in?

My experience has been that other countries aren't as welcoming of foreigners as America is. It's not American's they dislike but the idea of one in their country that is not their own.
