anyone elses eyes ache whilst using your computer

my eyes have been aching/hurting for over a year whilst using my LCD computer monitor, hurting whilst looking at the monitor....yet, months ago i had my eyes tested at the optician, and he said my eyes were fine, i got some new anti glare reading glasses for the computer, and even whilst getting my new glasses and using the computer, my eyes are still hurting and aching using the monitor....i'm aged 43, i spoke to my doctor about it and he said '' well, you're not getting any younger'' - and he wants me to half my computer time from 8 hours to just 4 hours...



what do you think? and does anyone else here ever have problems with your eyes hurting while using an LCD monitor?
