Because helping women in distress and/or requiring first-aid assistance more often than not opens the door to false allegations of sexual harassment (or worse) if the man is not attractive to her.
If when giving first aid (like providing CPR to keep the person alive) and she doesn't like being touched (which is kind of hard to avoid in providing first aid) the same risks apply.
Women are strong and independent and don't need men to help them anymore if you believe the rhetoric and the narrative that women are 'embracing their masculinity'.

@zonavar68 That's why women are more likely to die of things requiring immediate first aid (e.g. cardiac arrest) than men are. No one worries about being falsely accused of sexual assault if they attempt CPR on a man so they're more willing to help.
