Are these experiences normal?
When I was 19 I started looking for a job. Since it was a restaurant job I thought getting it would be easy as cake. Once I got the job I could start saving up for college. My first job interview was at Rasing canes. I feel like I was really too confident because it was heart breaking to see 20 other people show up and I was rejected on the spot ( as well as others) because I didn't have any experience. I applied to 30 other places. Got two interviews all went no where.
I got a job interview at Little Caesars. They said they liked me a lot and I was hired. They told me to buy some work pants/shoes and tomorrow I'll get a welcome package. I got the pants, shoes, and my family was so proud of me. Days go by and no response from little Caesars. I was told to wait and I did but I thought maybe they were busy or something. Days turn into weeks.
Never got a email or a callback. In fact, I went there to get food a month later and they had two new hires.
Is this normal or do I just have bad luck
