They do ask for phone verification, and if you want to change the number to a new one, they will send a message to the old number for verification 🤦‍♂️ Sometimes the dumbfvckery just blows my mind

I don't know about this particular verification. I was forced to do a different verification about six years ago though because someone reported me as a fake.

They did this twice. What FB asked for verification was a utility bill or driver's license number. I simply refuse both times. So I'm blocked out of two accounts. I no longer even have that email address.

Sounds like they can't sign into their old account. But I'm sure youtube has other ways to recover a login, unless this person is just lazy

I don't know for sure but FB, YT, Etc. all ask for your phone number & email addys every chance the get.
