Yes. That's usually a huge sign of lack of interest on their part. My rule of thumb is if you don't hear back within a few hours without good reason, safe to assume it's a lost cause.

@JosephtheEmpath I'd argue that it depends on the communication method. If you have a girl/guys number, there is ZERO reason for the other people to ignore a text for more than a day. My argument is that if you are into someone, you are going to be thinking about them, at least a little... enough to check for a text form them on a phone that most people are constantly on nowdays. Now, if it's instagram, or other social media, then maybe 3 days can apply.
