What happened this morning?
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@TechniCoIorBroccoli I can see the problem. Like if someone asks "Do you like the smell of flowers?" and it's changed to "Do you like anal?" People would need to know it was changed and go in and delete their answers. It's very immature.
TechniCoIorBroccoli · 46-50, F
@StevetheSleeve yes something similar happened. And then someones answet was reported as being pedo answer. I think it puts everyone at risk.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@TechniCoIorBroccoli Oh wow. Even worse than I'd imagined.
Barebum61 · 61-69, M
Wish I knew what you are talking about
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Barebum61 a user asked a political question, he waited for the answers and one member had answered children and other things then the user edited the question to a sexual one making those that answered look like sexual deviants, paedophiles...he felt it was just a joke and amusing when in fact it was very distressing to some because of what it implied about their characters..
Barebum61 · 61-69, M
Thanks
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@Barebum61 you're welcome.
No. There cannot be changes due to the malice of one user. It is intolerable. The admins should ban the user. I checked upon it. I even spoke with him. He denies any wrongdoing. It is terrible. People know what is right and what is wrong. I don't consider it a joke. People have spoken up on this matter and even to him. You cannot expect everyone to have to change based on one single person's actions.
@Nuno Thank you for deleting the post. What happens when he does it again, Nuno? That is what I want to know. His behaviour isn't addressed-what he did was wrong.
Cheesecake · 61-69, M
@PoetryNEmotion and we still disagree.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@PoetryNEmotion I know it's a long time after the fact, but I support you in this. Punish the offener not everyone else.
Cheesecake · 61-69, M
Well said. I concur.
JollyLily · F
I think there should be some kind of notification to make people aware of any changes on a question they've answered. It will solve the problem without stopping people from editing their questions.
TechniCoIorBroccoli · 46-50, F
@Primnproper most yes but not all and banning a user means nothing as they make multiple accounts
TechniCoIorBroccoli · 46-50, F
@Cheesecake that's a better option.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@TechniCoIorBroccoli I agree banning is pointless so they need to come up with something that protects users without taking away their freedom to edit..this particular user has been seen by many now and won't be trusted so this account he has will eventually disappear..
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
I’ve done that for a joke before. It’s funny when I do it though
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
I would ask how often people brush their teeth, then change it to how often they pick their bum or something silly like that. All good fun
@YouCanCallMeDan He changed it to make the people who answered including the one with best answer to seem like pedophiles. Not fun in the slightest. That is why everyone is up in arms.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@PoetryNEmotion oh right. I didn’t see it. That’s not very nice
Isn't it as simple as reporting it to admin?
TechniCoIorBroccoli · 46-50, F
@SomeLikeItHot editing for a set time period before it gets locked is an option. And no its not an over reaction even though u might feel so🙂 Editing is for a purpose yes but it's misuse is quite a risk.
@TechniCoIorBroccoli
@Nuno does have an extraordinary ability to ban unwanted users. I am guessing that it uses a form of subnet masking but I wouldn't sell short admins ability to use a variety of techniques to manage "out of hand" users.
I do still feel it a bit of overreaction because I have always appreciated the amount of freedom EP and SW had afforded us. 👏

@Nuno thank u Nuno for tryinb to find a solution instead of dismissing my request like some users here
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Nuno How about giving notifications of any changes to topic posts those who have replied? This would give people the chance to delete or edit their replies.
