We're currently working on a new feature that will allow you to select some users to prioritize their posts in your home Feed, and optionally receive notifications every time that user creates a new post.
You'll be able to choose whether you want to receive notifications just inside SW, or also by Push Notifications or Email Notifications (you can have all too).
@LunarOrbit Yah... I'm with Nuno... just because I follow x number of people, it doesn't mean that I want them all at the top of my feed every day - however, I would like to see more from those that I'm closest to at the top of my feed.
My inner circle of friends are more important to me than those who I haven't quite bonded as closely with.
Given that this place is a cesspool at times... will there be a way to prevent people from adding me to their favourites that doesn't include blocking them???
I'm all for being followed by those that I am closest to on here - but I can see how it could be abused to drag drama from thread to thread to thread. I don't want to keep blocking stalkers just to keep the drama down... not that I see the point in that when I've had members unable to drop their beef with me nine months after I blocked them to start with.
I feel like I should have some say over who adds me to their favourites as an overall means to keep drama down and prevent just about anyone from silently stalking me.
@Nuno Followers can be removed.... that's the difference. As you say, visitors can already see what we post so no need to be added if we wish not to be.
What Lunar and Breezy said above, about a Friend/Follower requirement would be nice. I can at least somewhat control the access [i]those[/i] members have to my visibility. I don’t really want to be on just any rando’s radar any more than I am now. @Nuno
I have favorite people on here BUT I also try to see a diversity of users in the feed. I personally won't likely use that feature but I suppose some people will.
Except for the "favorite" part... I thought we should already have all it takes to adjust and fine tune it all....which I haven't touched or bothered with. It's an interesting thing seeing what I get thrown at me with no preferences.....
I assumed the feed algorythim already did this with our feed preferences, and the fact that our feed has been limited to reduce any antagonistic and negative interactions by how we use our reactive emojis.
Will this increase what we see on our feed if we use it?
As has been mentioned here, it would be nice if there was an option to see ALL the most recent posts from EVERYBODY so we’re not seeing hours old posts. I understand there are people who only want to see some people’s posts so this option is probably great for them but I think many of us want to see as many as possible. Thank you for your consideration.
When are you going to allow everyone's posts to be visible on my home feed? I don't care who it is, or what they're posting about. I want to see everything when I click on New. I know a lot of people are posting here, but their content doesn't show up when I click on New. I don't even have to scroll down and I see posts from 2 hours ago, 3 hours ago, 5 hours ago. Why so few posts? Why are you restricting visibility of posts?
