I Don't Think Blocking Should Be Abused

Wow. I just had a strange experience. I was going through my messages, and had a Ifrom a woman in her 30s where we had been discussing her isolation being bi in a southern US town, and then I got a phone call and was gone for 30 minutes then got something to eat and came back and opened up SW again and had a nasty message and was blocked by her because she said I was rude for not telling her I was leaving. Gheez. I didn't know I had to tell everyone I had messaged that I was leaving, but that is surely bizarre to be blocked. I have never had that happen before. Apparently from all the comments on the subject there is a tendency to block for no particularly good reason.

I block people who talk like paedophiles I have had the misfortune to know. I block if I don't feel safe. That seems in no way unreasonable, to me.

I have a lot of old pictures, even from many years before I was born. I scanned them into my computer so they would be preserved. That one was taken by my 18 year old cousin's boyfriend, who was a professional photographer, while standing on a dock in Connecticut in 1950.
