how should you deal with someone who 'implies/ insinuates' something at you personally

if i'm online and someone insinuates something towards me in a reply or comment which is false and untrue, how should i respond?

Let it go. There are always people online who want to start a crap fest with random people. In real life they know someone would beat their butt if they kept doing that
