Ugh! Forgot to mention that the day after I stepped on a bumble bee and got stung on my right instep I did it again but this time it was my left big toe. Neither are painful but they are itching more now than when it happened. I inspected the sites before I got out of bed and they are slightly redder than the surrounding skin. It's quite annoying and made it harder to get to sleep last night.

Does anyone know how long this takes to fade away? Is there likely to be anything at the chemist that I can apply to reduce it?

First, fid you manage to remove the stings? Second wash and clean the area. Third apply a cold compress. Fourth take some Ibuprofen, or similar pain relief, and some antihistamines. Do not scratch!
Hydrocortisone cream or Calamine lotion can help with swelling.

@22Michelle I've decided to just live with it for now. It only bothered me last night. It seems that if I keep moving it doesn't bother me. As for the sting I couldn't find it and the bee flew off on both occasions so I'm not sure it really got far in.

@ninalanyon If the bees flew off it's unlikely the sting went far in as usually stinging means a dead bee.
